Most people expect music festivals to be held only on land where people can set up a stage and enjoy listening to a variety of music. However, there are a surprising number of music festivals that are held on the water. These Beach Bashes and Music on the River events are amazing experiences for all who attend if you have the right equipment with you.
For the Love of Cool Fun
Music festivals, like the Tortuga Music Festival in Fort Lauderdale, are taking the world by storm. You can find music festivals in virtually every corner of the world as long as there is a body of water nearby. Country by the Sea is hosted on the coast of Georgia each year, Texas has several events with only one of them being “Rockin the River”, the Louisiana Bayou offers the Bayou Boogaloo, and even Thailand offers you the opportunity to cool off and party with the best of them. These events are held during the spring and summer months to give people a chance to enjoy a lazy day where they can relax or party hard.
Preparing for the Water Festivals
Most all music festivals on the water require you to be in or near the water to get the most enjoyment out of them. This is why most people bring along their boat, raft, kayaks, SUPs, and more. You will want these items so that you can float along on a lazy river or park on a sandbar where the stage may be set up. Since you will be having fun in the sun, sunblock is going to be a requirement, as will be plenty of fresh drinking water. Your life vest will also be a good idea, especially if you plan to stock your cooler with adult delights. In some places, it may also be required. An anchor to keep you near the stage if you are planning to stay close to the stage. If you have a raft or plan to relax in a raft with your friends, then you may want ropes to tie everyone together. You may also consider having a good set of wakeboard tower speakers so that you have music on board both before and after the concert. This will enable you to keep the party going until you are ready to go home.
Where Will You Be This Summer?
Summertime blues do not have to get you down when you attend a music festival on the water. Virtually every lake, river, stream, or beach can become a more enjoyable place to be during the summer, especially when you add a live concert to the mix. You have so many choices when it comes to music fests. If you live in some areas, you may even get to attend a few of them each year. Most of them are going to be devoted to rock music since that is what gets people most excited, but there are festivals for all types of music lovers. You are encouraged to show up, enjoy the beats, and have fun.
